You are right about many foods in "conventional" grocery stores which have an abundance of sugar and other unhealthy additives. I agree that it is best to "make your own" leaving out harmful or unhealthy additives. However, I would like to put in my vote for healthier choices, yes, even of tomato sauce and other
"organic" products. For instance, the tomato sauce I buy doesn't have any sugar altho' it does contain barley malt syrup which is an acceptable form of sweetener. Otherwise, it is made purely from organic tomatoes and herbs.
